GARBAGE PICKUP
Waste Management is now collecting all residential garbage, recycling & green waste pickup for Hyrum City.
We understand there is lots of confusion & questions regarding this change in service. Hyrum City will continue to bill all Hyrum residents on your monthly utility bill, as before. Postcards were mailed out by Waste Management with information of your new collection day. Please reference the map below which shows Hyrum's collection days as either Tuesdays (green) or Wednesdays (yellow). Along with Waste Management, Hyrum City is hoping services will continue without any problems - please be patient as this is a BIG change. Thank you!
If you have questions about your refuse collection, for residential collection call 435-245-6033 , for commercial/roll off collection call 855-389-0828.
Wheel your carts to the street and place them curbside before 6 a.m. on your collection day. Make sure that all trash and debris is in the cart. Garbage or waste left beside carts may not be collected.
RECYCLING PICKUP
Recycling pickup happens every other week with your garbage pickup.
Recycling Tip - Americans reportedly spend upwards of $3 billion on Halloween candy. That means a lot of candy wrapper waste. Please remember, candy wrappers belong in the trash not the recycling bin. The mixed material used to make these small flexible packages help keep the sweets inside fresh but render the wrappers unfit to recycle.
Recycling Safety - Teach kids that it’s okay to watch trash and recycling trucks from a safe distance of at least 15 feet and remind them not to play around or near carts. When teaching children to stay visible, a good reminder is: If they can’t see the driver’s eyes, they cannot be certain the driver is able to see them or their pets.
