Senior Center Director

Hourly Salary Range: $24.27 to $29.47

Part Time with Benefits: 29.75 hours per week

 

Hyrum City is seeking a part time Senior Center Director to plan and coordinate the day-to-day operations of Hyrum Senior Citizen Center. 

 

The Senior Center Director for Hyrum City will (see complete job description at www.hyrumcity.com):

 

  • Develop and maintain policy and procedures for senior center operations and programs.
  • Conducts needs assessments to determine programs and activities that best meet the desired interests of the local seniors
  • Develop new programs or redefine existing programs to meet assessment objectives.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the daily operations of senior citizen center.
  • Schedules various functions to promote senior citizen activity.
  • Monitors use of facilities to maximize availability.
  • Promote Center’s programs and activities through the local media to the general public to better acquaint seniors with available programs.

Develop and foster a close working relationship with seniors; develops and coordinates special programs for senior citizen center patrons.

Required Education and Experience: Education: High School Graduate or GED Graduation from college with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, gerontology, or related field is preferred and Four (4) years of experience performing above or related duties.  Food Handlers Certificate, Utah State Food Handlers Permit, Serv Safe Certified, CPR and First Aid Certified; and possess a valid Utah Driver’s License.
