DEPUTY RECORDER / WEB TECHNICIAN
Employment Classification: Part Time with Benefits
Hours per Week: 29.75 hours
Salary Range: $19.55 – $27.72
Hiring Range $19.55 - $23.51 depending on experience
Hyrum City is seeking a friendly, detail oriented individual to serve as a part time Deputy Recorder / Web Technician. Applicants should have advanced computer skills, a keen sense of detail to produce high quality work that is precise and accurate, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to write grammatically and effectively. Key responsibilities of the position include assisting with:
- Attending and taking City Council Meeting minutes.
- Posting, obtaining signatures, and filing agendas, notices, minutes, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Maintaining, updating, and improving Hyrum City’s Website.
- Records management.
- Answering phones and helping customers with facility rental agreements, utility bills, dog licensing, etc.
- A variety of professional secretarial and technical duties as needed to expedite the administrative functions of the Hyrum City Offices.
- Learning and conducting training on new software applications.
This position is Part Time with Benefits with a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (work schedule may have some flexibility) with a maximum of 29.75 hours a week.
Required Education and Experience:
Education: Graduation from high school, preferred Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in public in business administration, finance, or similar related field; AND two (2) years of experience as a Deputy City Recorder, Web Technician, or similar position, or four (4) years of experience with progression in office practices and procedures, computer operation, and various software applications; OR Any equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
